Our bimonthly book club is meeting! We rescheduled to Wednesday, September 1st at 6:00PM.
Join us on the farm for our September installation of Eco-Literacy. We will be discussing Farmacology by Daphne Miller.
In Farmacology, Daphne Miller, a family physician, explores and bridges the divide between agriculture and medicine. She explores the question- what can innovative family farming teach us about health and healing? Miller left her medical office and traveled to seven innovative family farms around the country, on a quest to discover the hidden connections between how we care for our bodes and how we grow our food. She artfully weaves the expert opinions of biomedical sciences with her own discoveries. Through spending time on farms and interviewing farmers from across the country, learning about pest management, soil health, seeds, urban agriculture, and more, she explains a profound new approach to healing with practical advice on how to treat disease and maintain wellness.
We will meet on the farm at 6:00pm for a book discussion and potluck. Bring an item to share and your notes, questions, and feedback on the book and this entire way of thinking!
