All parents want a better world for their children. Everyone wants a healthier planet. Imagine that by creating a space for meaningful collaboration and creative problem-solving, a farm could become the classroom for the next generation!

What is Farm Raised?

Farm Raised is an enrichment program for children ages 3-8 providing daily hands-on educational programming modeling the ethos of a one-room schoolhouse through the exploration of The Ecology Center’s village with parent cooperatives for ages 3-6 and a home school site for ages 7-8.

Every day on our 28-acre certified organic farm our children will experience interconnectivity, collaboration, imagination, and inspiration with loving guidance by our village of Waldorf-inspired teachers, farmers, bakers, chefs, artisans, and parents. Children develop a love for learning, while actively nourishing the community, catalyzing a profound and lasting change in our relationship between people and the planet.

Every education is self-education, and as teachers we can only provide the environment for children’s self-education. We have to provide the most favorable conditions where, through our agency, children can educate themselves according to their own destinies.” -Rudolf Steiner
