ECO-TOTS FIELD TRIPS

Eco-Tots Field Trips are held on Tuesdays. They are open for group reservation or ticketed for children ages 5 and under.

Explore the farm through the eyes of a child with multi-sensory activities especially crafted for our littlest farmers. Each week will be a unique path through the farm whether we’re romping through flower fields, hearing the story of the mighty seed, or making sun tea to enjoy in our magical orchards. After we explore our rainbow fields, we will head to our Eco-Tots playspace, a zone especially made to inspire imagination and creative play. The children will have a chance to explore some of the many activities available in this outdoor playground from weaving projects to watering the garden.

Our Grow – Eat – Make field trips serve as a collaborative opportunity to come and safely explore our eco-agricultural oasis. We invite school groups and homeschooling pods for an in-depth, hands-on experience of meaningful work on our organic farm, with the aim of fostering co-creation of a thriving, healthy community. During our field trips, students walk in the footsteps of our designers, farmers, cultivators, seed savers, and chefs, partaking of the natural beauty and collective labor of a thoughtfully cultivated ecosystem.

SCHOOL & GROUP FIELD TRIPS

We welcome classes and large groups to the farm for a one-time trip or multi-series visits on Fridays with different experiences each season. Here is a sample of field trip activities:

• Studying seeds and soil

• Planting or saving seeds / repotting seedlings for our nursery

• Exploring the farm’s permaculture design

• Visiting activity stations for hands-on learning about our core ethics: Care for the Earth, Care for People, Fairly Share Resources

• Harvesting and tasting fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden

• Caring for our chicken flock, meeting the pollinators, or visiting the worms

• Learning about composting and other regenerative agricultural practices

• Participating in hands-on stewardship and service projects on the land
