What to bring:
This workshop will be held outdoors. Don’t forget your sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, and your reusable water bottle. Otherwise, The Ecology Center will provide all necessary materials.

We will be taking photos and possibly video to use on our website, social media, and other media outlets. By registering for this event you agree to our photo/video release policy.

Once a month we lead our tiniest farmers through a series of delightful multi-sensory stations based on our main initiatives Eat, Grow and Make. Toddlers and their parents partake in daily farm routines including garden care and a rotating selection of songs, stories, and art projects.

This month’s activity:

  • Flower Flags  – Create and wear a rainbow of color made from the same natural materials! For thousands of years, people have been making and dyeing clothing using locally-available materials from plants, animals, and minerals. Try the “hapa-zome” technique (it means “leaf-dye” in Japanese), to pound flowers and leaves into cloth, and create an instant natural dye print!

After Eco-Tots, stick around to take part in our Second Saturdays programming! Click here to learn more about this free offering.
