Fall is one of the best times of year to start a garden. The summer heat has died off and the seedlings are ready to be planted. This is also a great time to replenish nutrients for annual and perennial food production. Learn everything you need to get started on your fall garden.
Topics covered in this hands-on class:
- Replenishing your plant’s nutrients
- Conserving water while keeping your plants hydrated
- Keeping pests and disease at bay
- Pruning and trellising
- Growing tender greens
- Reviving a raised bed
Each participant will take home a sample of compost and a seasonal planting chart from The Ecology Center.
