A fixture of the San Diego food scene since the early 2000s, multi-hyphenate food artisan Chef Adam Hiner first made his mark with Eco Caters, a boutique catering company that combines handcrafted 100% organic meals with a rigorously ecological production model. This venture was followed by Local Habit, a restaurant that won instant “favorite” status for its focus on craft beer and organic dishes with a Cajun twist. It was also the first restaurant in San Diego (and likely among the first in the country) to offer kombucha on tap. No surprise that, in 2014, Chef Adam joined the founding team of Boochcraft, Southern California’s first high-alcohol kombucha brewery. Most recently, Chef Adam launched Pacha Bakery to offer sprouted, fermented, organic gluten-free bread in grocery stores throughout Southern California and Hawaii, while somehow also finding time to surf, practice and teach acroyoga, and tend his backyard food oasis in Ocean Beach, California.
